The only thing that will slowly change believer's minds is years of unfulfilled promises. As a skeptic I plan to buy Zenn stock after EESU is third party verified to spec.

Twice a year if you need summer and winter tires.

And how many people do that? I am afraid most people use all-season tires.

Depends on location, town I grew up in, likely was >25%

DAP,
I thought that before one can file a patent the device must be reduced to practice.

Do you have a prototype?

Not yet. That is why I'm looking for collaborators.

I obviously now have an IP position though, and that's a good start.

Patent without prototype, sounds like EEStor ;)

I think your math is off. I get 4205 (at the moment) for Tec/Excoriator.

Yep, I was off, your still ahead though :)

He's probably just full of Rage due to your analysis of current ZMC finances (which seem accurate to me.)

Tom, nobody has asked for a dime (yet, see other thread) so it's no surprise you don't have all the info.

TV changed the terms slightly, so he's got the end of the month.

Ah must have missed it, thanks!

You base this on his history? Then how do you ignore the continuous missed deadlines part! Sure miss one deadline in 2007, but then another in 2008, and zoinks yet again in 2009! Either someone is a really really bad manager, or some fibbing is going on.

Google servers most significant bottleneck is limited bandwidth from the gigibit nics.

It really too bad there aren't any affordable enterprise SSD solutions for medium sized businesses because I'm setting up a large SAN environment for virtualization and it would have been nice to have SSD LUNs. :) I mean just one enterprise SSD would account for more than the entire IOPS of our SAN. :P Each SAN drawer we have give us about 1500IOPS and a single FusionIO SSD gives over 100,000. :P

FusionIO is good product though pricy, though you have other options if you allowed some flexibility on smaller setups, like battery backed up RAM drives that do ~20k IOPS. There is a company I know that has a battery backed up enterprise server box with 128gigs of ram, with 120 gigs of it just a Ram drive, all just to reduce latency. Also got multiple fiber nics on it, the sustained throughput of this machine is amazing even with hundreds of machines hitting it.

I've been told Google uses RAM exclusively for storage.

I believe HD are used for OS boot and backup of ram contents.
